Whisky trials and Whisky Tours

Scottish distilleries can be found in many parts of Scotland - you can create a DIY trail or choose your favourites for tours.
The regions and major distilleries are:

Speyside is famous for its Malt Whisky Trail, most distilleries in Scotland are in this area, but not all! Popular ones to visist in Speyside include - Aberlour, Balvenie, Speyburn, The Glenlivet, The Glenrothes, Glenfiddich, and The Macallan.

Highland whisky trail - including Aberfeldy, Balblair, Dalmore, Dalwhinnie, Glen Ord, Glenmorangie, Oban and Old Pulteney.

Lowland - including; Auchentoshan, Bladnoch, and Glenkinchie.

Island of Islay including; Ardbeg, Bowmore, Bruichladdich, Bunnahabhain, Caol Ila, Lagavulin, Laphroaig and Kilchoman.

Whiskies other Islands include Arran, Tobermory, Highland Park, Isle of Jura, Scapa and Talisker from the islands of Arran, Mull, Orkney, Jura and Skye.

Campbeltown, including; Glengyle, Glen Scotia and Springbank.

Focus on Perthshire whisy trail

There are eight whisky distilleries in Perthshire:
Aberfeldy Distillery, Edradour Distillery, Blair Athol Distillery, Deanston Distillery, Tullibardine Distillery, Glenturret Distillery, Strathearn Distillery, Dalwhinnie Distillery.

Glenturret Distillery, Scotland's oldest working distillery is less than one mile from Steading cottage, just on the out-skirts of Crieff, so a tour with plenty of tasting is possible and a walk back to the cottage!

Branded The Famous Grouse Experience, you can tour, taste and dine and it is fabulous! So many of our guests highlight this as one of the highlights to their holiday, so there is no hesitation in recommending it. It is also often writtien up as one of Scotland's 'Best Visitor Attractions'.
